The best PS3 is a 25XX because if the blueray drive ever dies you don't have to remarry the new one to the motherboard. Some of the 25XX you can jailbreak (I have Rebug on a CECH2501 so I recommend that model). Anything before 25XX can be jailbroken but nothing after 25XX can. Keep you eye out for a slim 2501 or older, and go with a CFW instead
Most dont have the know how. Its probably been done maybe a few times and is not highly known so thats why I said what I said. There are allot of super slims out there so it will be nice to able to do that. But its not a good system and may have issues running cfw.
I've owned all three PS3 versions, but right now i'm using the Super Slim. Its definitely the most ugly of the three, i preferred the Slim with its matte finish. However the good thing is that its really small and most of the come with good size hard drives.
