I've researched the forum and believe that the service interval for this box is 40,000 miles, can anyone confirm this? Also is it possible to do this at home or is dealer / independent only. Thanks.

refill amount is 5l or about 5 quarts or until the oil starts leaking from the overflow filler tube inside the transmission coming out of the drain plug hole

2) Start the engine and shift thru all gears. 3) Wait several minutes and the oil pan should only feel barely warm. 4) Proceed with unscrewing the fill adapter and allow for the excess fluid to drain; about 1/2L should drain out. This should leave you with about 5L in the oil pan.

Had my 7g tronic box serviced 3 months ago on 1st service 2 years old and as per service book 80,000 miles to next gearbox service so is due.
