1 Answer. SOURCE: 2004 xtype jaguar key fob suddenly stopped working. Your key fob needs reprogramming, and yes the alarm will go off when you open the door, but you have enough time to put the key in the ignition which will prevent the alarm sounding. Car is usable until you get the fob sorted by locking and unlocking using the key.
Posted February 10, 2020. I have a 2005 Jaguar x type 2.5 petrol automatic AWD and has 45000 miles on the clock. It has started to make whining noises at speeds between 20 and 25mph increasing in tone on acceleration and decreasing in tone on decalaration. It does not happen all the time.
