Pick the speaker type you want to use: soundbar, stereo or surround sound speakers. Find the audio output on your TV. Find the matching audio input on your soundbar or amplifier. Wire the TV’s audio output to the input of your soundbar or amplifier (and wire the speakers to the amplifier if you’re not using a soundbar).
With the speakers successfully connected, you’re now ready to move on to the next step: connecting your audio/video components to the Sony receiver. Step 5: Connect Your Audio/Video Components to the Sony Receiver. Now that your speakers are connected to the Sony receiver, it’s time to connect your audio/video components. Input the two-pronged plugs into the terminals on the back of the receiver marked Speakers. Each speaker has two terminals. You may have inadvertently set a speaker to ‘off.’ Test the Speaker: Connect the speaker to a different output on the receiver to see if it works
